"Proteas" (pronounced pro tee uhs or pro tay uhs-with the accent on either the first or second syllable) are exotic-looking flowers and come in an astonishing range of sizes, shapes, and colors. They are named after the Greek god Proteus who could change his form at will to avoid capture. In this set you can enjoy four different genera of the protea family. The Protea (blossoms of many shapes and forms); Leucospermum (pincushion-type blossoms); Leucadendron (cone-type blossoms); and Banksia (brush-type blossoms).
